Accountable
Doug has always enjoyed taking on challenging work responsibilities and could be depended on to get them accomplished in a successful, detailed manner ... and on time.
Logical
Growing up on a farm, Doug learned that hard work and common sense were valuable commodities. He used those lessons as the core of his 48-year working career with two family-owned businesses in Salina.
Trustworthy
During his work and volunteer life, Doug has been placed in many situations requiring fiscal responsibility and trust. He is proud and grateful that he could be entrusted with those duties.
SALINA
"Most of Salina's growth in the past 25 years has been toward the southern area of town. However, in the past few years, it has been nice to see the downtown upgrades and revitalization projects which are creating a new, vibrant atmosphere in this great city."

WHY DOUG ALT IS A CANDIDATE FOR
THE SALINA CITY COMMISSION
DOUG ALT:
"As a governing entity, the City Commission should guide the staff, where needed, in decision-making situations without micro-managing."
"I am persistent by nature and like to see projects completed in a timely manner. My commitment as a City Commissioner will be to pursue those situations with a respectful, yet accountable, approach."
